Yeah, hope everything's working out OK.

I was lucky enough to look in on athroscopic rotator cuff repair operations, a very elegant technique, when I was in South Africa doing my research internship (on a totally unrelated topic). It was during the Rugby world cup, and they were actually flying palyers in to get fixed up..

Hi Guys:

I am alive. The tendon is back together and I have holes and a slice in my shoulder. So as our friend TJK said With some good therapy I will be able to put my hand above my head and be counted. The procedure didn't take to long but the recovery was about two days before I could keep anything down. Got home yesterday. And except for the affect of certain drugs I am doing OK. I do thank you for your kind support and prayers. I got a few books out of library on luthiering and will be studying a bit of the techniques of others. I am not supposed to lift or hold anythibg in my left hand for at least a month. So until I can grip with the hand, I am vertually shut down on guitar making. Will give me time to reflect on how I do things and what jigs I need to build. So once again thanks. Walter did you get your back braces made. I am interested in seeing pictures of your project as you proceed if you can.

Get better soon Ron, last time I was out for the count I grabbed the big red books and dug through them for a couple of days, it was really good reading and I dreamed up a bunch of jigs (still haven't made most of them but I still have them "upstairs")...

Cheers

Ron,

Glad things went well, and I hope your recovery is quicker than expected.
